The King James Bible
God has perfected His word in the KJV Bible. It can’t be corrected by anything or anyone. It corrects everything, including the Greek and Hebrew manuscripts. If we have to go to the Greek to find the real meaning or tense of the word, we might as well throw the Bible out, because we can’t trust it’s words to be correct as God wanted us to have them. Proverbs 30:5 says, “Every word of God is pure.” I believe the verse as it says, that “every word” means every single word, and that every single word is pure! If every word IS pure, why would I need to go anywhere else to find a different meaning? I believe the final authority is the King James Bible, not a Greek or Hebrew text. The KJV supersedes the Greek or the Hebrew. The true meaning of a word is found in the King James Bible.
The scholars who translated the King James Bible knew every definition of every Greek word. They prayed about which definition God wanted in each instance, and they made their decision by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Those who doubt the word of God say that a word could have many meanings (as most Greek words do). But the King James translators considered each word definition and with the help of their fellow scholars and the Holy Spirit, they made the choice, being led by the Holy Spirit. Those who know Greek and who try to correct the words they chose, are putting themselves above the translators and above the Holy Spirit, for no other reason than to show how smart they are.
John MacArthur doesn’t believe the Bible he holds in his hand is the 100% pure word of God without error. I’ve read his book, “Why Believe the Bible.” See page 199, E – first paragraph, last line and second paragraph first line. They state, “…the copies we possess are not entirely error free,” “…no translation is or can be perfect.” He’s got the gall to title the book “Why Believe the Bible.” Strange title considering he doesn’t believe it. But he wants to make you think he does. So why believe the Bible if it’s not perfect and without error? Proverbs 30:5 says, “Every word of God is pure.” MacArthur doesn’t believe that!
The King James translators were Godly men. Their introduction includes the following: “For when Your Highness had once out of deep judgment apprehended how convenient it was, that out of the Original Sacred Tongues, together with comparing of the labours, both in our own, and other foreign Languages, of many worthy men who went before us, there should be one more exact Translation of the holy Scriptures into the English Tongue.” They thought there should be one more translation, and an exact one at that. They would have never thought there would be translations coming out just about every year, like there is now, of which NONE are exact. The King James translators believed theirs was an exact translation of the Holy Scriptures. “One more” has the thought of the King James Bible being the last one. Thus, the King James Authorized version was supposed to be the LAST EXACT Bible. And to those who believe the King James version, it IS the last exact Bible.
The King James Bible is the inspired final authority and is not to be corrected or updated by anyone or anything, including the Greek text or the Hebrew text.
Psalm 12:6, “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.” (there’s that word “pure” again)
The King James Bible is the inspired final authority and is not to be corrected by anyone or anything, including any manuscript or scholar, because the King James Bible is the 100% pure, true word of God without any error.
