Statement of Faith
* The One True God
We believe in one eternally existent, sovereign, holy God, Creator of heaven and earth, and Redeemer of mankind. We believe this God is revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and these three Persons of the triune Godhead are in a state of total unity, so as to be one Lord God Almighty.
* Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, Who is the Second Person of the Godhead. We believe He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified, died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day. We believe He ascended to heaven, and now sits at the right hand of God the Father, interceding for us.
* The Holy Spirit
We believe in the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit, Third Person of the Godhead. We believe the Holy Spirit is present and active in all believers. We believe that He convinces the world of sin, regenerates those who believe, guides into all truth, and sanctifies believers.
* The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible (Holy Scripture) is verbally inspired of God and without error. We believe the Bible is truth, is the infallible Word of God and that it contains all things necessary for salvation and conduct.
* The Fall of Man
We believe that sin and death came into the world through the transgression of Adam and Eve, and that since their fall, mankind has been born with a corrupt nature and an inclination to evil.
* The Salvation of Man
We believe that by the blood of Jesus, and by His subtitutionary death, mankind can receive salvation. We believe the death of Jesus Christ made a full atonement for sin. We believe that salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ, that by receiving this salvation, we are justified, regenerated (born again) and adopted into the family of God.
* The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, and is made up of born again believers
* The Ordinances of the Church
We believe there are two ordinances of the Church commanded by Scripture – Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Communion). We believe that Christians are to follow these ordinances after being born again, but they are not required for salvation.
We believe every Christian, as a good steward, should give of his tithe to the Lord. We believe every Christian should also give other offerings cheerfully to those in need, and to the spread of the Gospel.
We believe in the literal Genesis account of Creation. We reject Evolution, the Day-Age theory, the Gap theory and Theistic Evolution as unscriptural.
We believe God has given the Church a Great Commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations.
* The Resurrection of the Dead
We believe that the just and the unjust shall be raised. They that have done good unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil unto the resurrection of damnation.
* Heaven and Hell
We believe in a future life after death, that when a person dies that person goes to either heaven or hell. We believe those born again will have a glorious, wonderful everlasting life in Heaven with God, and that those who died in their sins will suffer eternally in the lake of fire, which is the second death.
* The Rapture
We believe in the coming of Jesus Christ in the clouds to receive those who have been born again – the dead first, and then those who are alive, to be taken back to heaven. This is the blessed hope.
* The Second Coming of Jesus Christ
We believe in the second advent – the return of Jesus Christ to rule and reign on this earth for 1,000 years (the Millennium), and that the saints will rule with Him.
* The Final Judgment
We believe in the final judgment in which the wicked will stand before God and be judged according to their works, and that whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire.
